Students are required to elaborate 1 case study of a selected patient, which will be included in the practical part of their bachelor thesis. The diagnosis, the case study will be based o­n, will be assigned by the head physiotherapist (or the deputy to the head physiotherapist) at the work place concerned o­n the first day the practice starts, based o­n the current patients receiving the care of the institution. Knowledge and practical skills acquired within theoretical and practical subjects taught in the 3rd year. (The therapy effect evaluation including a conclusion refering to the prognosis in relation with the disease and a physical state of a patient based on the comparison od initial and final kinesiologic examination results.)

Learnin Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to equip students with such knowledge, skills and general competencies that after completing:

  • demonstrates the acquisition of basic professional skills and habits in the normal regime of the profession of physiotherapist
  • demonstrates, under the supervision of a supervisor, the ability to perform basic investigative procedures
  • demonstrates, under the supervision of a supervisor, the ability to prepare a comprehensive kinesiological analysis
  • demonstrates, under the supervision of a supervisor, knowledge of the principles of basic therapeutic procedures
  • demonstrates, under the supervision of a supervisor, the ability to apply basic therapeutic procedures
  • demonstrates the ability to work with medical records
  • the output is the elaboration of a case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient in a bachelor's thesis
