Students undergo practical training in the outpatient department of the rehabilitation department, where they carry out examination and therapeutic procedures under the direct supervision of a physiotherapist (teacher) or physician from the perspective of physiotherapy in the patients of the department. Professional practice is focused mainly on improving knowledge and skills in taking anamnestic data, performing a complete kinesiological analysis, suggesting the direction of therapy, applying basic physiotherapy procedures, evaluating the effect of therapy and working with medical documentation.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrates the ability to take the anamnesis and take into consideration the anamnestic data durineg the examination and implementation of therapy
  • demonstrates the ability to propose and perform the kinesiological examination of a patient
  • demonstrates the ability to suggest the therapy plan in various diagnoses
  • demonstrates the ability to apply basic therapeutic techniques in the patient under the supervision, including the subsequent evaluation of their effectiveness
  • demonstrates the ability to independently develop protocols on the course of examination and therapy of the patient
  • demonstrates the ability to present a patient with a given diagnosis and discuss the applied examination and therapy
  • demonstrates the ability to orientate in medical documentation, including the ICD codes of individual physiotherapeutic procedures
