Basical properties of composites, glass - ionomer cements, compomers
Adhesive preparation, acid-etched technique, bonding to the enamel and dentin.
Treatment of the 3rd and 4th class cavities and other lesions of the cervical part of the tooth. Treatment of cavities in
posterior teeth with esthetic material.

Cast metal and porcelain intracoronal restorations.

Slice preparation of the OM cavity for cast metal inlay. Indirect method, Stomaflex impression.
Demonstration of an endodontical instruments. Root canal preparation 11, 33, 14.

V náplni zimního semestru je zahrnut detailní anatomický a strukturální popis jednotlivých zubů a částí ústní dutiny. Student je seznámen s nástroji a pomůckami používanými v záchovném zubním lékařství. Student je informován o rozdělení a zpracování materiálů používaných v rámci záchovného zubního lékařství. Student je seznámen se způsoby preparace kavit pro jednotlivé materiály dle Blackovy klasifikace a se způsoby zhotovení jednotlivých typů výplní.
V náplni letního semestru je student seznámen se základními nástroji v oboru endodoncie a s jejich použitím. Studentovi jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy používané v endodoncii (včetně stručné klasifikace postižení zubní dřeně a periodoncia). Student se seznámí se základním postupem ošetřování kořenových kanálků a se způsoby zhotovení kořenové výplně.
V druhé polovině letního semestru je student seznámen s náplní oboru protetiky, se základními nástroji používanými v protetice a s preparační technikou u jednotlivých protetických korunek.

Student dobře rozpozná jednotlivé zuby a zná způsob značení zubů. Student rozpozná jednotlivé pomůcky používané v záchovném zubním lékařství a umí je správně používat. Student zvládne teoreticky i prakticky preparace jednotlivých kariezních lézí, umí z jednotlivých materiálů zhotovit výplň.

Student rozpozná jednotlivé kořenové nástroje a umí je správně používat. Student teoreticky i prakticky ovládá pracovní postup endodontického ošetření včetně zaplnění kořenových kanálků.

Posluchač prokazuje  obecnou znalost  současných možností náhrady ztracených zubů a souvisejících tkání. V části praktické si osvojuje práci se základním instrumentariem, preparačními nástroji a způsobem ovládání preparační techniky. Vykazuje znalost bezpečnosti práce.

Student chápe rozdíly v preparaci na jednotlivé protetické korunky.
