The second part of functional morphology dealing with the grammatical categories of word classes. Description of the verb starts from the formal, semantic and syntactic classification of verbs. Description of lexical verbs presents respective verbal categories. Next the remaining word classes are covered: pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions. The goal of the concomitant seminar is to deepen and apply the theoretical knowledge presented in the lecture.

Předmět k funkční morfologii soustřeďující se na gramatické kategorie slovních druhů. U slovesa se vychází z formální, sémantické a syntaktické klasifikace sloves. Lexikální slovesa se popisují se zřetelem k jednotlivým slovesným kategoriím.
Tento semestr je věnován také ostatním slovním druhům: zájmenům, adjektivům, příslovcím, předložkám a spojkám.
Seminář se zaměřuje na prohlubování a praktické procvičení látky probírané v přednášce.

Course completion requirements -
Credit requirements include attendance at seminars, successful completion of partial tests during the semester and the final test, and submitting the seminar paper.
Attendance is compulsory, max 3 absences per semester are allowed. Any additional absence during the pandemic must be remedied by additional work by individual arrangement with the course instructor.
The final test, which is one of the requirements of the couse, takes the form of a test with two attempts. The test must be completed in the academic year in which the student enrolled the course.
All credit requirements must be met by the end of the examination period of the academic year in which the student enrolled the course.

Podmínkou získání zápočtu je prezence na seminářích, úspěšné absolvování dílčích testů během semestru a závěrečného testu a odevzdání odpovídající seminární práce.
Účast je povinná, povoleny jsou tři absence za semestr. Větší počet absencí v průběhu pandemických opatření musí být nahrazen prací navíc individuálně zadávanou vyučujícím.
Závěrečný test, který je jedním z požadavků na splnění atestace, probíhá formou testu se dvěma pokusy. Test je nutno absolvovat v akademickém roce, ve kterém si student předmět zapsal.
Všechny požadavky pro zápočet je nutné splnit do konce zkouškového období akademického roku, ve kterém si student předmět zapsal.

4. Grammatical categories of the verb - Tense. Simple and progressive forms. Expressing the present and simultaneity.
