The aim of the study programme in Italian Studies is to provide a thorough grounding in the Italian language and Italian literature, both at theoretical as well as practical level (C2 level skills in the Italian language).

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduate is proficient in standard Italian (level C2 CEFR) as well as in the specialized Italian for humanities. He/she is acquainted with modern linguistic disciplines as applied to Italian language; he/she has knowledge of current theories of literature, of the history of the Italian literature and culture. The graduates are partially prepared for professional translation services and they are further qualified for such professions as editor, for work in media, diplomatic or state service, international institutions, business and humanitarian organizations.
