The doctoral study program Didactics of Chemistry aims to prepare experts to improve the quality of chemical education in the Czech Republic following current social needs and according to the educational programs of advanced European countries based on scientific research results.
Graduates of the doctoral study program Didactics of Chemistry acquire extensive complex knowledge in didactics of chemistry and pedagogy, psychology, and chemistry, which are comparable to graduates of this study in an international context. Based on acquired knowledge and working methods, they are capable of independent scientific, research, pedagogical, and management activities in the field of general and vocational chemical education. Graduates of this study should be able to communicate on the issue of chemical education at national and international level and publish the results of their professional work in national and international journals, monographs, and other publications.

Graduates of the doctoral study program Didactics of Chemistry acquire extensive complex knowledge and competencies in didactics of chemistry and pedagogy, psychology, and chemistry, which are comparable to graduates of this study in an international context. The doctoral study provides an integrated education that enables its graduates to conduct conceptual and research activities in Didactics of Chemistry based on high erudition. Graduates acquire the skills needed to study professional literature, research, and describe research problems, methodology, and design of their conceptual solutions. They can creatively solve problems in the field of education and independently design and implement research, especially in chemical education.
