Anotace -
Poslední úprava: PhDr. Adam Zdobinský (13.11.2023)
The subject represents the introductory course in the cycle of Combat Sports Specialization. The cycle has a different structure for the fields of Physical Education and Sports Coaching and Management in Leisure Activities, depending on the study program. The subject frames theoretical knowledge from other study subjects into the practice of selected combat sports, depending on the student's specialization. During the lessons, students from various sports disciplines come together, so the focus is on developing generally applicable coaching competencies. The practical part of the teaching is focused on the field of MMA, which represents a current trend among the adult population. A significant portion of the lessons takes place as block sessions within the Combat Sports course during the winter examination period.

Podmínky zakončení předmětu -
Poslední úprava: PhDr. Adam Zdobinský (13.11.2023)

Given that participants in the specialization have diverse backgrounds, it is necessary to adapt the content of the course accordingly. Coordination of didactic outputs also occurs within the subjects. This increases the demand for flexible email (and other online) communication. Failure to respond to communication may be a reason for not being granted credit.

Attendance is mandatory for all classes (3 allowed absences).

Participation in the combat sports course during the winter exam period, which is led by senior students.

Submission of a seminar paper related to determinants of athletic performance in a specific combat sport.

Examination - the topics will be provided during the semester.

For students intending to write their final thesis in Sports Science and Coaching, attendance at the Monday seminar for final theses is strongly recommended, where students' work is discussed across years.
