The aim of the course is to acquaint students with physiotherapeutic procedures in basic clinical disciplines with regard to application and principles of physiotherapist work in individual diagnoses. Students are introduced to physiotherapeutic methods in basic clinical subjects such as neurology, surgical subjects, internal medicine, psychiatrics, etc. related to various diagnoses.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies. After the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate the ability to determine appropriate diagnostic procedures from the physiotherapy point of view for patients with a wide range of diagnoses in individual clinical disciplines
  • demonstrate the ability to define a functional problem of patients with a wide range of diagnoses in individual clinical disciplines
  • demonstrate the ability to determine the purpose of the therapy for patients with a wide range of diagnoses in individual clinical disciplines, mainly based on the knowledge of the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical picture of the disease
  • demonstrate the knowledge of the therapeutic procedure principles that a physiotherapist applies in case of preventive, medical rehabilitation and palliative care
  • demonstrate a basic orientation in current trends in the diagnosis and therapy of patients in terms of providing physiotherapeutic care in all clinical areas with regard to EBM
