and bonding) and provide a practical introduction to the mechanisms of organometallic reactions. The chemistry of pi‐alkylmetal complexes, and transition metal alkene, alkyne, arene, diene, and dienyl complexes will be presented and discussed. The importance of transition metal‐promoted bond‐forming processes in organic synthesis will be illustrated with examples from the contemporary literature and applications to the synthesis of natural products. |

Tests: The tests will cover the material discussed during the previous section of the course (short and long answer questions). The objective of the tests is to provide you with feedback on your understanding and learning of the material covered during that section of the course. Final Cumulative Examination: The exam is cumulative and is structured to evaluate the learning outcomes. The assignments, tests, group work should prepare you for the type of questions that will be used to address questions focused on the learning outcomes. |
