Základem kurzu je filosoficko-etická reflexe etických ideálů v samotných počátcích evropské kultury. Prostřednictvím výkladu je ve vybraných literárních dílech představen vliv dobového, národního i náboženského cítění na morální ideály člověka. Důraz je kladen na výpravné eposy Homérovy a didaktické eposy Hésiodovy, jež stojí na počátku utváření evropské kultury a ukazují archaický svět ve svém celku. Kurz reflektuje mythos a pathos řeckého eposu, orientální vliv na utváření řeckých mýtů, múzické zdroje enthusiasmu, jakož i charakter homérských hrdinů a s ním související kritiku dalšími generacemi, od Xenofana přes Platóna až k církevním otcům. Kurz seznamuje i se základy utváření antického divadla a dramatu s důrazem na morální aspekty děje a jednajících postav. Představen je vztah mýtu a ritu, mýtu a logu, typologie enthusiastického působení, struktura posvátného prostoru v řeckém dramatu. Závěrečná část kurzu je věnována reflexi katharsivního působení tragédie na morální jednání člověka na základě četby z Platóna, Aristotela, Klementa Alexandrijského, Nietzscheho a Heideggera.

The course is based on the philosophical and ethical reflection of ethical ideals in the very beginnings of European culture. Through the interpretation, the influence of contemporary, national and religious feelings on the moral ideals of man is presented in selected literary works. Emphasis is placed on the ephemeral epics of Homer and the didactic epics of Hesiod, which are at the beginning of the formation of European culture and show the archaic world as a whole. The course reflects the mythos and pathos of the Greek epic, the oriental influence on the formation of Greek myths, the musical sources of enthusiasm as well as the character of the Homeric heroes and the related criticism by other generations, from Xenophon to Plato. The course also introduces the basics of the formation of ancient theater and drama, with an emphasis on the moral aspects of acting and acting figures. The relationship between myth and rhythm, myth and logos, the typology of enthusiastic action, the structure of sacred space in the Greek drama. The final part of the course is devoted to the reflection of the catharsic effect of the tragedy on the moral behavior of man on the basis of reading Plato, Aristotle, Klement Alexander, Nietzsche and Heidegger.

V semináři budou čteny poetické, prozaické a filosofické texty v českém jazyce. Budou vykládány interpretativně filozofickou, hermeneutickou a sémanticko-lingvistickou metodou.

Podmínkou splnění zápočtu je v prvé řadě aktivní účast v semináři a příprava interpretace vybraných textů na základě odborné literatury. Je vypisován jeden zápočtový termín. V případě neúčasti a nesplnění interpretací vybraných textů, jsou vypisovány dva termíny opravné v podobě konzultace a interpretace textu ze semináře.

Podmínkou zakončení předmětu je splnění všech náležitostí zápočtu, jehož součástí je písemná interpretace vybraných textů na základě odborné literatury, kterou budeme číst na semináři. Rozsah textu interpretace je jedna strana A4. Je vypisován jeden zápočtový termín. V případě neúčasti a nesplnění interpretací vybraných textů, jsou vypisovány dva termíny opravné v podobě konzultace a interpretace textu ze semináře. Další náležitostí je povolená absence o maximálním počtu dvou omluvených absencí, v případě další absence je možná domluva na individuálním plnění náležitostí ze semináře, kde student chyběl. V případě nejasností doporučuji konzultaci s vyučujícím předmětu.

Range of text interpretation is one A4 page.One credit term is written.In the case of non-participation and non-fulfillment of interpretations of selected texts, will be written two terms of amendment in the form of consultation and interpretation of the text from the seminar.Another requirement is the absence of the maximum number of two excuses absent, in case of further absence, it is possible to agree on the individual fulfillment of the requirements from the seminar where the student was absent.
