The aim of the study program is focused on philological education with a focus on educational issues, which use the prerequisites for achieving a defined graduate profile. The course develops not only theoretical philological knowledge of Russian studies at the level of linguistic, literary and linguistic-didactic, as well as practical students’ communication skills. Within the framework of practical language preparation, emphasis is put on the development of all components of communication competence. Priority goal of the bachelor study is creating the basis for the follow-up master study, which prepares Russian language teachers for elementary and secondary schools and therefore the didactic intention of students is shaped in all disciplines.

Přijímací zkouška má dvě části:

1. Zkouška z 1. studijního programu, plán maior, max. 40 b.

2. Zkouška z 2. studijního programu, plán minor, max. 40 b.

Celkem max. 80 b.

Ruský jazyk se zaměřením na vzdělávání

Přijímací zkouška má písemnou formu. Uchazeč prokazuje znalosti a dovednosti na úrovni A2 podle Společného evropského referenčního rámce Rady Evropy, tj. cca v rozsahu učebnice Raduga po-novomu 1-3. Písemná zkouška zjišťuje úroveň znalostí a dovedností z ruského jazyka v porovnání s českým a ověřuje dovednost poslechu s porozuměním. Skládá se ze 3 částí: a) úlohy k poslechovému textu, b) gramatický test, c) překlad z češtiny do ruštiny a z ruštiny do češtiny. Délka trvání testu je 45 min.

Anglický jazyk se zaměřením na vzdělávání

Zkouška má písemnou formu a sestává ze čtyř následujících částí:

1. Gramatický test - prověřuje znalost mluvnických struktur v jednotlivých větách.

2. Lexikální test – prověřuje znalost slovní zásoby formou doplňování slov v kratším originálním novinovém textu.

3. Test čtení s porozuměním – prověřuje schopnost porozumět smyslu delšího originálního textu.

4. Lingvistický test – prověřuje jazykové znalosti v oblasti gramatiky, slovní zásoby a výslovnosti formou rozmanitých úkolů, např. doplňování a transformace vět; identifikace chyby; výběr vhodného idiomu, frázového slovesa, ustáleného výrazu; určování synonym a antonym, rozpoznání správné výslovnosti slova, určování slovního druhu apod.

Všechny čtyři části jsou ve formě otázek s výběrem odpovědí („multiple choice“).

Vyžaduje se velmi dobrá znalost mluvnice, rozsáhlé vědomosti v oblasti slovní zásoby a velmi dobrá dovednost číst s porozuměním a orientovat se v původním (nebo lehce upraveném) textu. Předpokládají se celkové vstupní jazykové dovednosti na úrovni B2 Společného evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky.

Délka trvání testu max. 45 min.

Admission to Bachelor's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate.

Special conditions ensuing from Lex Ukraine in the field of education (pursuant to Section 8 of Act No. 67/2022 Coll.) which only pertain to applicants with a special visa / temporary protection.

During the admission procedure, the candidate needs to prove that s/he is entitled to a temporary protection in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine (s/he can submit a leave to remain visa marked D/VS/U or a temporary protection visa marked D/DO/xxx)

Applicants need to comply with the standard requirements stipulated by the Faculty of Education (https://is.cuni.cz/studium/eng/prijimacky/index.php?do=info_fakulta&fak=11410) except for the following:

1) The candidate does not have to demonstrate his or her knowledge of the Czech language at level B1 and higher.

2) Documents proving previous education - if previous education cannot be properly documented, it can be evidenced by a statutory declaration.

3) Applicants are exempt from the fee charged for administering the admission procedure, in accordance with Rector‘s regulation No. 16/2022.

Verification description and evaluation criteria:

This entrance exam for a type of study that combines the major and minor subject consists of two parts:

1. Exam for the 1st study programme (major), maximum score of 40 points

2. Exam for the 2nd study programme (minor), maximum score of 40 points

Total maximum score of 80 points

English language

The exam is conducted as a written test consisting of the following four parts:

1. Grammar test – seeks to assess the applicants’ knowledge of grammatical structures in individual sentences.

2. Lexical test – seeks to assess the applicants’ language prowess by inviting them to fill in missing words in a short newspaper article written in English.

3. Reading and comprehension test – seeks to assess the applicants’ ability to understand the overall meaning of a longer authentic text written in English.

4. Linguistic test – seeks to assess the applicants’ knowledge in grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation by means of various assignments. These include gap filling or sentence transformation; identifying a mistake in a sentence, the choice of the most appropriate idiom, phrasal verb or collocation to fit the context; the ability to identify a synonym or an antonym, the ability to identify the correct pronunciation of a given word, the ability to identify a part of speech that matches a given word.

All four parts are administered in the form of multiple-choice questions.

A successful applicant needs to display a good knowledge of grammar, extensive knowledge of vocabulary and a very advanced ability to read with comprehension and navigate an authentic English text (perhaps with minor editorial changes). The level of language prowess should correspond to B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The time allotment for the test is 45 minutes.

Russian language
The entrance exam is conducted as a written test. A successful applicant will demonstrate language proficiency and skills commensurate with A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, i.e. within the scope of textbook Raduga po-novomu 1-3. The written exam seeks to assess the applicant’s proficiency and skills in the Russian language, using the Czech language as a reference, it also seeks to assess the applicant’s listening comprehension skills. The test consists of two parts: a) a listening comprehension assignment, b) a grammar test. The time allotment for the test is 45 minutes.

The exam is conducted in Russian.

Date of verifying the entrance examination: from 22.06.2022 to 24.06.2022

Anglický jazyk se zaměřením na vzdělávání

Uchazeč může požádat děkana fakulty o upuštění od přijímací zkoušky v programu Anglický jazyk se zaměřením na vzdělávání. Ve druhém programu, do kterého se uchazeč hlásí, musí zkoušku vykonat, není-li od ní upuštěno.

Žádost se podává v listinné podobě nejpozději do 28. 2. 2022. Součástí žádosti je doklad (certifikát) ne starší 2 let k datu podání přihlášky k přijímacímu řízení o úspěšném složení některé z níže uvedených zkoušek:

Cambridgeské zkoušky:

- Cambridge English: First – hodnocení A

- Cambridge English: Advanced – hodnocení A, B, C

- Cambridge English: Proficiency – hodnocení A, B, C

IELTS - minimálně skóre 5,5 

TOEFL iBT - minimálně 72 bodů

Popřípadě i jiná osvědčení, která na základě složené zkoušky certifikují jazykovou úroveň uchazeče jako B2+ a vyšší.

V případě, že bude podmínka pro upuštění od přijímací zkoušky splněna až po výše uvedeném termínu podání žádosti, je možno příslušný certifikát podat nejpozději do 31. 5. 2022. Samotnou žádost je však i v tomto případě nutno podat do 28. 2. 2022. Pokud děkan žádosti vyhoví, obdrží uchazeč rozhodnutí o upuštění od přijímací zkoušky a započte se mu maximální počet bodů uvedený v kritériích hodnocení daného programu. Pokud nebude žádosti o upuštění od přijímací zkoušky vyhověno, obdrží uchazeč taktéž rozhodnutí a platí pro něj termín přijímací zkoušky uvedený v pozvánce. Pokud uchazeč nedoloží požadovaný certifikát do 31. 5. 2022, dostaví se v den konání přijímací zkoušky a přijímací zkoušku vykoná.

The bachelor's graduate has extensive knowledge of Russian language, literature and culture, which he / she is able to put into the wider European context, is capable of independent development and further education in the field of study. The graduate of the bachelor's degree program, which includes linguistic, literary, cultural and didactic disciplines that are interconnected, achieves communication competence at the upper level of B2, in some aspects overlapping to C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. From the point of view of the linguistic component of study, the graduate masters key linguistic disciplines corresponding to the individual levels of language. The graduate is able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and skills from individual linguistic disciplines in practice, further he/she is able to compare the Russian and Czech language systems and evaluate the results of this comparison from the linguistic-didactic point of view. On the basis of literary scientific preparation, the graduate is able to objectively reflect and interpret texts of various genres and contents, as well as master various strategies of creating diverse texts in Russian language in both oral and written form. The graduate knows the history and theory of Russian literature from the literary monuments of the 18th century to contemporary works. The graduate reflects the issue of multiculturalism and is able to accept different cultures. The study is conceived as a potential basis for the follow-up master's program of Russian language teaching for the 2nd level of primary and secondary schools and other related fields of study in Russian studies. A graduate who will not continue in the follow-up master's degree will find employment in the field of education as an educator, leisure time teacher and assistant to a qualified teacher. Due to the achieved level of language competence, he/she can find employment outside the sphere of education in various domestic and international institutions and organizations, in the media and news agencies.
