The aim of the course is to acquaint with the organization and legislative provision of care, which is focused on the inclusion of a cured patient back to normal life. Teaching aims to gain knowledge of the social system of the state and an important part of the care of the sick, which will become increasingly important with the aging of the population. Topics to the basics of community care are also included. The course also includes excursions to various types of social facilities.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate knowledge of the rehabilitation system in the Czech Republic
  • demonstrate orientation in legislative norms and measures in relation to the rehabilitation system in the Czech Republic
  • demonstrate knowledge of the goals and procedures of social and occupational rehabilitation subsystems in the Czech Republic
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of the ICF system and the possibilities of use in the practice of a physiotherapist
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of the procedures of objective functional evaluation in rehabilitation, methods of ergodiagnostics, as well as the use of modern technologies in rehabilitation
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of community care
