The course folowes the "Neurology I". Learning outcomes of the course is to acquaint students with the basic chapters of neurology and to present the latest news in this clinical field. Emphasis is also placed on the manifestations of individual diseases in the musculoskeletal system. The selected typical patients will also be demonstrated in the course of the course in relation to the subsequent physiotherapy.

Learning outcomes:

The aim of the course is to equip students with such knowledge, skills, and general competencies that after graduation the student:

  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to describe the etiology, pathophysiology, and clinical manifestations of nervous system dysfunctions
  • demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic basic clinical examinations in neurology and additional examinations both invasive and non-invasive.
  • is equipped with basic theoretical knowledge of conservative and surgical treatment of neurological diseases
  • demonstrates the ability to evaluate the manifestations of individual neurological diseases in the musculoskeletal system
  • understands the principles of management in neurological and neurosurgical departments

2. Nervous system injuries and post-traumatic residual conditions

3. Vascular disease, unspecified (arteriosclerotic, hypertensive, encephalopathy, SAK)

4. Infectious diseases of the nervous system (encephalitis, myelitis, polyradiculoneuritis)

5. Seizure diseases (epilepsy, migraine, meniors)

6. Demyelinating and so-called degenerative diseases of the nervous system (RM, subacute sclerosis. Encephalitis m. Parkinsoni, ALS, M. Wilsoni, M. Friedreichi, chronic spinal amyotrophy, etc.)
