The aim of the course is to develop students' foreign language communicative competence within the expected C1/C1+ level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to level. Students' speaking, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing skills are systematically worked on and developed, with increasing emphasis on accuracy, fluency and complexity of language expression.

the exam consists of 2 parts:

written test: listening and reading comprehension, writing, grammar and vocabulary (pass=70%; 2 resits) 

oral part:

1) individual talk on one topic related to the content of the course (1,5 min.)

2) interactive discussion in pairs (3 minutes)

grammar - conditionals, mixed conditionals, passive voice

vocabulary - phrases with life, phrasla verbs with off, synonyms - intensity, prepositions; the old and the young

everyday English - talking about photos, discussing old age

The course is based on active participation of students in seminars (with regard to the shortened semester in the final year only 1 absence is tolerated). 

The student will be required to present one written paper of 200 words.
