Annotation

The internship MUST BE CONNECTED to the theoretical and practical courses Basis for Patient Care I, II. The internship lasts 80 hours in an internal or surgical inpatient ward of a hospital under the supervision of a MENTOR NURSE (not a physician). Students perform nursing procedures listed in the Record of Completed Practices in the hospital under the supervision of a MENTOR NURSE.

Aim of the course

Learning goals of the subject:

1. Students apply the theoretical knowledge needed to perform basic and specialized nursing interventions and procedures.
2. Students are able to perform selected nursing activities and procedures in hospital independently under the supervision of a mentor.
3. Students are able to maintain aseptic approaches during nursing procedures in hospital under the supervision of a mentor.
4. Students learn the principles of an individualized and holistic approach to patients.
5. Student practice communication skills with patients.

1. The completed 80 hours is recorded and confirmed - signature + stamp od MENTOR NURSE + HOSPITAL + contact email + contact phone number (in ENGLISH).
2. Nursing procedures listed in the Record of Completed Practices are sign in accordance with the instructions given in the Moodle course.
