Compulsory elective course. The course describes the classification, pathophysiology, clinical features prognosis and principles of the treatment of the most common malignancies of B and T cells - leukemia and lymphomas. In the theoretical part (seminars) students will learn the classification and pathophysiology, the clinical features will be demonstrated on the patients of OKH FNKV. An important part of the course represents the demonstration of the immune pathologies often accompanying lymphomas and leukemia - autoimmune syndromes such as autoimmune hemolytic anemia or immunodeficiencies. The immunotherapy changed the the prognosis of many patients suffering from lymphomas and leukemia. Students will get knowledge of the principles and results of immune-based therapies in these settings. The impact of selected original articles on the decision on treatment schedule will be discussed.
