THE COURSE WILL BE OPEN WITH THE MINIMAL NUMBER OF 10 STUDENTS. This is an interdisciplinary and international course promoting a closer interaction between social work, theology and Diaconia. In this course teachers from social work and theology departments of the Protestant Theological Faculty of the Charles University present the social and theologival perspective of hope, with eventual participation of the teachers from our Erasmus partner school Windesheim University in Zwolle. The central motivation was to create a platform for the mutual transdisciplinary and international co-creation of knowledge and practice in innovative approaches contributing to social inclusion, quality of life, and justice in our societies. The course has a theoretical and practical part. The overall course is allocated 10 ECTS which are ascribed after fullfilling of all assignments. The module consists of two clusters, allocated 4-6 ECTS, overall 10 ECTS.
Cluster I focuses on theories of hope, resilience, and empowerment from the perspective of the social sciences, mainly social work and sociology.
Cluster II focuses on theories of hope and transcendence from the perspectives of theology, philosophy, and ethics.
