The Pedagogical practice II runs during four weeks of winter semester which are given by faculty. During that time, the students attend continuously selected upper secondary school where they have to observe 10 lessons of biology. Subsequently the students carry out their own 10 lessons of biology. All lessons are recorded by the students in a “Diary of Practice”. Each student has to inform the guarantor of the practice about his activities at school by sending a valid daily schedule. One lesson taught by the student will be observed and reflected by one of the teachers from Department of Biology and Environmental Studies. The credit is given for handing the Diary of Practice (records of observations, preparation for own lessons), positive evaluation of faculty teacher, positive evaluation of an observed lesson and active part in the final colloquium. Before the beginning of the semester the students are always informed via e-mail about the course Pedagogical practice II and they are given a schedule of the practice for the current semester – all given terms are binding.
