The aim of this course is to extend the knowledge of students of German studies in the field of German parts of speech (with the exception of verbs), including the flexion (declination) of nouns and adjectives. Considerable attention is paid to articles and their use. As far as inflexible parts of speech are concerned, the course deals thoroughly with prepositions, as there are many differences between the Czech and the German governing of prepositions. Compared to the curriculum applicable to the students of teaching German at secondary and junior schools, the theoretical part is more concise and adjusted to the needs of primary schools.

Cílem předmětu je systemizovat, prohloubit a rozšířit znalosti a upevnit dovednosti v oblasti německých slovních druhů s výjimkou slovesa. Obsahem předmětu je proto teoretický rozbor a praktický nácvik německých slovních druhů. Slovní druhy jsou tradičně rozděleny na ohebné a neohebné. V rámci ohebných slovních druhů jsou probírány jednotlivé gramatické kategorie a všechny druhy flexe, tedy deklinace, konjugace, stupňování (poslední druh též u neohebného slovního druhu adverbium). Ve srovnání se slovně druhovými protějšky v českém jazyce je poukazováno na paralely a protiklady mezi oběma jazyky tak, aby studující pochopili charakter a fungování německých slovních druhů a snažili se při produkci německých výpovědí eliminovat nežádoucí interferenční vlivy ze strany mateřského jazyka. Probíraná morfologická problematika je průběžně didaktizována s ohledem na prostupnost do magisterského studia.
