The Artist (Painter and Sculptor)
In the seminar, the exercises in both semesters will focus on the understanding of an artist, especially on painter and sculptor, on his creative maturation, on searching inspiration for their creative work, on conditions for his for and on his social connections. The attention will be paid to their character attributes. The knowledge on artists will be seek in contemporary texts as well. Each chapter: first notions on artists, life, own life, legends on artists, education in workshop, education on academies, the experiences of an artist (his study journeys), character attributes of an artists (melancholy), social status of an artist (workshops, companies, court environment, artist’s house, customer, contracts), conditions for artistic work (handicraft, fantasy, literal texts, poetry, archaeology), self-portrait of an artist, legends on death of an artist, graves of artists.
