Annotation -

Annotation
This course focuses on the deepening of language skills and on the vocabulary from the field of humanities. This course is designed for students of both a BA degree and a MA degree from any study field. A prerequisite for this course is intermediate level, i.e. roughly the first 17 lessons from the textbook "Ruština nejen pro samouky".

Requirements to the exam -

Prior to writing the test it is necessary to submit a hand-written synopsis of the texts read in the seminars (5 and more sentences) and one half-page commentary to one of them.

Credit test
The test examines the ability to understand an unknown socioscientific text, to give one's own opinion on a given topic, active knowledge of grammar and vocabulary studied during the course.

Syllabus -

The first 40 minutes are going to involve work with the textbook (usually lessons 17-19); the other half is going to cover readings of the texts from the field of humanities.

Blocking of messengers in Russia, the Berlin Wall, private and state spending, residents of the occupied Kursk region, nuclear reactors in Ukraine, politician Ilya Yashin after the prisoner exchange, etc. were some of the topics studied in the academic year of 2024/2025.
