Annotation -
This course is designed for both students doing a BA course and an MA course in the study field of economics showing very good knowledge of German. It focuses on the enrichment of general vocabulary, solidification of vocabulary contained in specialized texts, development of communication skills and achievement of a higher level of grammar structures.
The course is appropriate for students intending to learn the understanding of written as well as verbal deliverance of original technical texts. A continuation course for students who have successfully completed the course of German for economics - intermediate I and II.

Aim of the course -

Ability to read specialized texts, enhancement of understanding of spoken word (updated academic commentaries), enhancement of communication skills, enrichment of vocabulary corresponding to B2/C1 level based on European framework of reference for languages.

Requirements to the exam -

Pre-requisites to obtain the credit for the class, the so called "zápočet":

- 50% - active participation in lessons

- 50% - one complex test held during the examination period, the duration of max. 1 hour. Students are entitled to 2 re-takes, i.e. all together they have 3 attempts.

To successfully pass the course, it is necessary to reach at least 65% marks in each section.

The receipt of the credit (zápočet) is a pre-requisite for the registration to the course JLB 018.
