The subject covers various topics from general psychology, medical psychology, and contemporary psychotherapy that are relevant to medicine. Main attention is given to bio-psycho-social approach, psychosomatic medicine, systemic approach and psychotherapy research. Important aspects of clinical practice are discussed from psychology/psychotherapy viewpoint such as subjective experience of being ill, communication intricacies between physician and patient, therapeutic relationship, embedded counselling etc.

Předmět je věnován různým tématům z oblasti psychologie, lékařské psychologie, současné psychoterapie, která jsou relevantní pro medicínu. Hlavní pozornost bude věnována bio-psycho-sociálnímu přístupu, psychosomatické medicíně, systemické perspektivě a psychoterapeutickému výzkumu. Diskutovány budou důležité aspekty klinické praxe z psychologické/psychoterapeutické perspektivy (např. subjektivní zkušenosti nemoci a stonání; komunikace lékař-pacient; terapeutický vztah, psychoterapeutický přístup apod.).
