The aim is to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge of prosthetic dentistry -examination of the patient, treatment plan of prosthetic rehabilitation, preprosthetic adjustment of teeth and jaws, treatment with fixed and removable dentures. Types of dental defects and basic types of dentures. Crown and bridge reconstructions, removable partial and complete dentures. Dental impantology, prosthetic materials. Interdisciplinary cooperation and preventive aspects of prosthetic dentistry.

On Monday 24 October, 8 a.m.-12 a.m. there are special lectures on the organisation of practicals and seminars in the school year 2022/23, credits and state exams (summer term), hygienic rules in dentistry, set of rules for teaching halls, documentation in dentistry, arrangement of patiens. 

25 Oct 2022 - 17 Mar 2023 - all students are divided into 5 groups, one group is formed by the English students, who have most of the practicals together with the Czech students; teaching hall Nr. 1, Kateřinská 32, 3rd floor. (Restorative Dental Medicine 2, Periodontology 4, Clinical Prosthodontics, Clinical Dental Surgery).

Case reports prepare and present the students, two times 15 minutes presentation of own case reports with discussion.The discussion is lead by the teacher due to the daily timetrable (see bellow).

Regulation for credits - prosthodontic subjects

Clinical Prosthodontics

1) Participation in practices - absences are tolerated according to the Operation teaching hall rules document

2) Participation in seminars  and active work at given subject - only 3% absence is tollerated  (sikness - confirmated by doctor, exeptional situation)

3) Passing a practical exam with the patient

Substitutions possible only after arrangement with the teacher and free capacity according to the Operation teaching hall rules document.
