Subject Infectious Diseases is 3-week rotation (75 teaching hours, 4-credit course) for the students of 4th year of magisterial studies of medicine. Practical training is executed in the Department of infectious, parasitic and tropical diseases of the Na Bulovce Hospital and Department of Infectious Diseases of the Military University Hospital. The rotation includes lectures in selected topics, casuistries, bed side training and rounds in patients with infectious diseases. The training is focused on viral hepatitis, CNS infections, HIV infection, sepsis, zoonoses, rash diseases and gastrointestinal infections. An important component of the training is antibiotic stewardship.
