Annotation -
The e-learning course is designed for students with at least A2 level German who want to improve their reading comprehension and prepare for follow-up Academic Reading courses. It also aims to develop their ability to work with German technical texts.

The course focuses on practicing receptive reading comprehension skills – from understanding the basic meaning to finding and interpreting detailed information. It includes identifying basic language structures, understanding various text elements, expanding technical and general vocabulary, and orienting oneself in short and longer technical texts. Students will try searching for relevant literature and working with articles from their own field.

The course is also open to students who do not need certification in German as a second foreign language but want to improve their work with technical texts, expand their vocabulary, and become familiar with more complex grammatical structures.

The course takes place on the Moodle platform and requires regular completion of exercises and assignments. The time commitment is roughly equivalent to a 2-hour classroom course.

The languages of instruction are Czech and German. The course requires Czech language skills at level C1.
