Annotation -
The course analyses the individual components of psychological functions and introduces their disorders. It should help to orient and to be able to compile a basic psychopathological analysis of a person (symptomatologically and syndromologically).
Course content: general principles of medical classification of mental disorders. General principles of psychosis, schizophrenia, schizotypal personality disorder and delusional disorders. Organic hallucinoses. Psychoses caused by the use of psychoactive drugs. Mood disorders. Neuroses, stress-related disorders, somatoform disorders. Personality disorders. Mental disorders caused by the use of psychoactive drugs. Dementia, mild cognitive impairment, delirium and other organic disorders. Mental retardation Disorders of mental development and mental disorders in childhood. Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) Eating disorders Gender identity and sexual preference incongruence Psychopathological assessment - development and administration.

Course completion requirements -

Knowledge of the lecture material and basic literature. The student should present a written psychopathological analysis based on a case report of a patient. Oral examination.
