Legal English is a four-semester obligatory common foundations subject. Its aim is to introduce the students into the issues of the professional language, to introduce to them terminology of fundamental fields of law in the chosen language area, to provide them with fundamental information about the given legal system and compare legal Czech with terms and expressions of foreign law. The basic method of teaching is the work with all sorts of professional texts with the aim to activate the acquired legal language and gain the ability to inform about fundamental aspects of Czech law in a foreign language.
Legal English II is completed with a graded course credit in the form of written test.

Výuka předmětu Právnická angličina II (kód HP0312) je zakončena klasifikovaným zápočtem ve formě písemného testu. Test obsahuje látku kapitol 7,8,9,10 a 12 z učebnice Marta Chromá et al., New Introduction to Legal English, Volume I, Praha: Karolinum. 2016. Testy organizuje katedra jazyků pro všechny studenty předmětu. Test vyhodnocuje učitel seminární skupiny, v níž je student/ka zapsána ve Studijním informačním systému. V jiný než vypsaný termín není možné písemný test konat.
