Zásady pro vypracování

Práce si stanovuje za cíl přiblížit problematiku plavidel starověkého Egypta a pak především vytvořit katalog člunů a modelů člunů Abúsíru. Důvodem pro zpracování tohoto tématu je skutečnost, že se člunům této lokality zatím nikdo souhrnně nevěnoval.
První kapitola se zabývá proměnami technik stavby lodí v průběhu dějin. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na funkce a využití lodí a člunů v běžném životě i náboženském kontextu. Třetí kapitola má podobu katalogu člunů a modelů člunů, které byly nalezeny na lokalitě Abúsír, a na jeho základě rozvíjí diskusi o jejich významu a funkci.

The thesis aims to present the topic of watercraft in ancient Egypt and then, above all, to create a catalogue of boats and boat models of Abusir. The reason for choosing this topic is the fact that no one has yet comprehensively researched the boats of this site.
The first chapter deals with the changes of boatbuilding techniques throughout history. The second chapter focuses on the functions and uses of ships and boats in everyday life and in religious context. The third chapter is in the form of a catalogue of boats and boat models that have been found at the site of Abusir including a discussion of their purpose and function.
