| Tato práce se zaměřuje na ztrátu fonetických aspektů mateřského jazyka u českých rodilých mluvčích pobývajících v anglofonních zemích a srovnává ji s řečí produkovanou studenty angličtiny žijících v České republice, a to za účelem zjistit, zda-li se atrice prvního jazyka objevuje jen u mluvčích žijících v prostředí, kde není užíván jejich mateřský jazyk. Vliv doby nástupu hlasivkového tónu (dále VOT) anglického jazyka na VOT produkovanou při mluvě jazykem českým bude experimentálně prozkoumán na plozívách znělých i neznělých. V teoretické části práce budou představeny přístupy a současná data týkající se atrice mateřského jazyka, dále také podstata VOT, rozdíly mezi VOT češtiny a angličtiny a také čím se liší VOT plozív znělých a neznělých. V experimentální části práce bude představena metodologie sběru dat, jejich statistická analýza a výsledky experimentu. V experimentu budou mít respondenti za úkol přečíst a nahrát sadu anglických vět, které budou obsahovat přízvučné prevokalické plozívy umístěné na počátečních pozicích podstatných jmen. Následně účastníci budou číst sadu českých vět obsahující stejné plozívy. Výsledné nahrávky budou poté podrobeny akustickému rozboru a na základě statistické analýzy dat bude určeno, zda-li je statisticky významný rozdíl mezi výsledky kontrolní skupiny (rodilý mluvčí češtiny žijící v České republice s minimálním kontaktem s cizími jazyky), českými mluvčími pobývajících v anglofonních prostředích a studenty angličtiny. Na závěr bude předloženo srovnání výsledků práce s ostatní literaturou zabývající se atricí mateřského jazyka.
Práce bude vypracována v anglickém jazyce. This thesis will investigate first language attrition in the domain of phonetics in native Czech speakers residing in Anglophone environments and Czech students of English. The respondents will be both Czech expatriates and Czech students of English in order to determine whether first language attrition occurs only when residing in a non-native environment. The influence of English voice onset times (further referred to as VOT) on Czech VOTs will be experimentally tested on both fortis and lenis plosives. A theoretical basis will be established, enumerating the approaches and data on first language attrition, the plasticity and nature of VOT, the differences between Czech and English VOTs, and also the differences between VOT of fortis and lenis plosives. In the experimental part of the thesis, the methodology and data collection will be described and the collected data further analysed. The experiment will be based on a reading task, where respondents will first be reading a set of English sentences containing word-initial stressed prevocalic plosives within nouns, and immediately after a set of Czech sentences containing the same plosives. An acoustic analysis will then be carried out on the results, and based on further statistical analysis, it will be determined whether there is any statistically significant difference between the measurements of the control group (Czech speakers living in the Czech Republic, not proficient in English) and the expatriates living abroad. Finally, a discussion of the results in relation to the literature concerning first language attrition will be presented. |
