The goal of the project is to find out which mechanisms are responsible for the early emergence of chemorezistence and to characterize the persistent subpopulation of cells and to test the hypothesis that resistance in a small amount of tumor cells that survive high doses of cytostatic (persistent cells) is epigenetically conditioned. Further, we plan to study the epigenetic mechanisms of chemorezistence in persistent cells more closely. The aim is to identify persistent cell subpopulation markers and verify whether they can serve as possible therapeutic and predictive targets.
