Zásady pro vypracování

Bakalářská práce analyzuje míru důležitosti a citlivosti zahraničních vztahů mezi Spojenými státy americkými a Velkou Británií od poloviny 19. století po americkou občanskou válku.
Výchozím bodem bude analýza dodržování, či porušování Monroeovy doktríny v geografických sférách vlivu obou mocností.
Cílem práce je analyzovat diplomatické krize, reakce na ně a jejich politické důsledky a také klíčové okamžiky ve vztazích obou států.
Výsledkem by mělo být nalezení odpovědi na otázku, kam se vztah mezi oběma zeměmi po tato desetiletí posouval a jeho „zkouška“ v době americké občanské války.
Zohledněny budou nejen mezinárodně politické, ale i hospodářské a sociální vazby, které obě země spojovaly.
Autor bude vycházet především z odborné literatury americké a britské provenience a vydaných pramenů.
