Zásady pro vypracování

V této práci se hodlám zabývat jednou z nejvýznačnějších událostí dějin Íránu, a to jeho konverzí k ší’itské větvi islámu v šestnáctém století. Tato změna měla dalekosáhlý dopad a dnes je cítit o to silněji, čím silněji dnešní ší’itské a sunnitské režimy na svých ideologických odlišnostech staví. Významná je i v tom, že se dominantním směrem v rámci ší’i stala isná ašaríja, jejíž příslušníci dnes tvoří nadpoloviční většinu Alího přívrženců. Centrem mého zájmu budou zejména vládci z dynastie Sáfíovců, rodu, který se od svých súfijských kořenů dostal až ke vládě nad největší ší’itskou zemí své doby. Po krátkém náčrtu dějin Sáfíovců se budu zabývat hlavně jejich převzetím moci a náboženskou politikou jejich vládců v rané době, zejména pak Ismá’íla I.
