Zásady pro vypracování

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměří na postupný proces přeměny Irska z integrální části Spojeného království na polosamostatný Irský svobodný stát se statusem dominia, který však byl jen mezifází na další irské cestě k plné nezávislosti. Řešitel bude analyzovat irské Velikonoční povstání, pokusy Irů získat na Britech úplnou nezávislost, britsko-irské vztahy vedoucí k britsko-irské smlouvě z roku 1921 a klíčovou imperiální konferenci roku 1926, v jejímž důsledku byla britská dominia fakticky postavena na roveň mateřské zemi. V tomto „dospívání dominií“ hrál Irský svobodný stát nezanedbatelnou úlohu, a proto se práce zaměří nejen na politickou úroveň procesu, ale i na státoprávní rozměr celé věci, tj. co vlastně dominiální status pro Irsko (ale i pro Británii) znamenal a proč se s takovým kompromisním řešením Irové nespokojili, ale usilovali nadále o vytvoření republiky.
