Předběžná náplň práce

Anatomické názvosloví slouží pro přesné a jednoznačné popisování struktury lidského těla. Jeho historie sahá od doby starého Řecka a Říma a na jeho formování a postupném dotváření se odráží technický i medicínský pokrok. Na konci 19. století byla vytvořena první standardizovaná verze latinského anatomického názvosloví (BNA 1895) a v roce 1933 anglická verze (BR 1933). V průběhu let anatomové nepříliš pružně reagovali na nové zobrazovací metody, které pomohly zobrazovat nové struktury, a aktualizace anatomického názvosloví byla spíše formální. Dalším problémem je, že některé termíny jsou zastaralé a neodpovídají modernímu vědeckému poznání. Také existuje velká diskrepance mezi anatomickou a klinickou terminologií. V neposlední řadě zcela chybí systém pro názvosloví anatomických variací.
Poslední verze anatomického názvosloví Terminologia Anatomica 2 (TA 2) přinesla do anatomické terminologie mnoho problémů, jelikož její skladba je nekoherentní a nové tvoření termínů často nerespektuje ani gramatická pravidla latiny. Mnohé struktury zůstaly i přes urgence stále oficiálně nepojmenovány.
Dalším velkým problémem je neexistující oficiální verze českého anatomického názvosloví, které by mělo sloužit jako komunikační nástroj mezi odborníky, lékaři, učiteli, studenty a laickou veřejností, a to nejen z řad pacientů, ale také orgánů činných v trestním řízení, soudů a úřadů.
Cílem dizertace bude nejen podat historický pohled na vývoj anatomického názvosloví od doby nejstarší, ale také poukázat na vybrané aktuální problémy anatomické terminologie a navrhnout některá možná řešení.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

Anatomical terminology is used to describe the structure of the human body accurately and unambiguously. Its history goes back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, and its formation and gradual refinement reflect technological progress. The first standardised version of Latin anatomical nomenclature was created in the late 19th century (BNA 1895) and the English version appeared in 1933 (BR 1933).
Over the years, anatomists have not been very flexible in responding to new imaging methods that helped to depict new structures, and the updating of anatomical nomenclature has been rather formal. Another problem is that some terms are outdated and do not correspond to modern scientific knowledge. Also, there is a large discrepancy between anatomical and clinical terminology. Further, there exists no system for terminology of anatomical variations at all.
The latest version of Terminologia Anatomica 2 (TA 2) has brought many problems to anatomical terminology as its composition is incoherent and creation of new terms often does not respect the grammatical rules of Latin. Many structures of the human body are still not officially denominated in spite of repetitive proposals.
Another major problem is the absence of the official Czech anatomical nomenclature, which should serve as a communication tool between experts, physicians, educators, students and general public, not only patients, but also law enforcement agencies, courts and authorities.
The aim of the thesis is not only to present the historical development of anatomical terminology from the ancient times, but also to point out selected current problems of anatomical terminology and propose possible solutions.
