Ph.D. the project will deal with the investigation of mechanisms affecting the effectiveness of adoptive cell immunotherapy of solid tumors with a focus on the role of immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as PD-1/PD-L1 and LAIR-1/collagen molecules. The work will focus mainly on dendritic cells and T cells. The project assumes that by targeted modulation of the expression/function of selected molecules, it will be possible to significantly influence the functional phenotype of immune cells, thereby improving their antitumor effectiveness in the treatment of solid tumors.
