| Recent Linked Data research explores techniques for efficiently accessing Linked Data published through IRI dereference using the TREE [1] and LDES [2] specifications, with early adoption of proof-of-concept projects using the specifications. Furthermore, the specifications can be applied also to store data in SOLID [3] pods in a decentralized way, preserving user control over their data., defining reusable approaches for publishing Linked Data as a viable alternative to publishing data using centralized online storage systems that often rely on traditional client-server architectures.
The student will design, implement, document, test and evaluate a client-side library for publishing and consuming LDES collections using SOLID [3] pods. The library will provide an interface performing prefix and time-based searches over fields described by TREE views of published LDES collections. The library will be tested and evaluated using a proof-of-concept application implementing a data catalog based on the DCAT-AP-CZ [4] specification. The project will be open-source and hosted on a public repository. |
