Structured P2P networks assign keys to data items and organize nodes into a structured graph that maps each key to a responsible node. These networks typically use distributed hash tables (DHT). The P2P networks do not provide trustful or reliable environment due to their open and anonymous nature.
The goal of the master thesis is to adopt reputation based trust management to the routing mechanisms in the structured P2P network. The basic idea is that the nodes which communicate with each other in the past and trust each other should be close to each other in an overlay layer. The objective is to improve routing performance and increase reliability and trustfulness. |
