Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce |
Theory of mind is a key component of social cognition. It enables us to attribute mental states such as desires, beliefs, feelings, and intentions to ourselves and others (Premack, Woodruff, 1978). Theory of mind, like other cognitive domains, is not innate but develops over time. It is still a matter of debate in which species we can find theory of mind, and to what extent. The thesis will focus on the ability of individuals of the rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) to represent certain knowledge and intentions, both in other individuals of the same species and in human experimenters. We will use a task where competent individuals search for a hidden reward. |
