Okrajově práce zmíní i produkci sekundární pletiv (peridermu) v povrchových vrstvách primární kůry a dopad tohoto procesu na transportní vlastnosti kořene.
Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce
The bachelor thesis will focus on the structure and characteristics of root cortex and their changes in response to environmental conditions. It will focus specifically on aspects other than the formation of apoplastic barriers (endodermis and exodermis), i.e. mainly on the middle part of the primary cortex. This is where, under unfavourable conditions, e.g. aerenchyma is formed, and where phi-thickenings or sclerenchyma may occur. Depending on the environmental conditions, especially nutrient availability, the thickness of the cortex can vary, which affects the efficiency of the root system. All these aspects and their functional significance will be discussed in this thesis. The thesis will also briefly mention the production of secondary tissues (periderm) in the outer layers of the cortex and the impact of this process on the transport properties of the root.
