Předběžná náplň práce

Textů věnujících se historii a vlivu izraelské lobby ve Spojených státech amerických je mnoho, nicméně málo z nich komplexně pokrývá jejich postoje a aktivity v otázkách Íránu a americké politiky vůči Teheránu. Cílem bakalářské práce „Izraelská lobby v USA a její postoj vůči Íránu a dohodě JCPOA“ je tuto mezeru zaplnit.
Předkládaná práce se snaží komplexně čtenáře seznámit s tímto tématem. Prvně definuje, co pojem izraelská lobby znamená, stručně nastíní historický vývoj, který formoval izraelskou lobby v USA do dnešní podoby, strukturu a její fungování.
Následně práce analyzuje politiku Izraele vůči Íránu, která je reflektována v agendě lobbistických skupin a také zkoumá politiku Spojených států amerických vůči Íránu a JCPOA, a to v období vlády prezidenta Baracka Obamy a Donalda Trumpa. V další části se práce věnuje již samotným lobbistickým skupinám. Analyzuje jejich postoje vůči Íránu, které se snaží prosadit skrze vliv na zahraniční politice USA a samostatně analyzuje jadernou dohodu JCPOA, která mezi jednotlivými lobbistickými skupinami vyvolala velký rozruch. V poslední části práce autor zkoumá, do jaké míry se politika Spojených států a lobbistických skupin vůči Íránu a jaderné dohodě překrývá a jak úspěšná je izraelská lobby v prosazování svých cílů.

There are numerous academic papers focused on the history and influence of the Israel lobby in the United States. Howerver, only few of them comprehensively cover Israeli lobby’s positions and activities regarding Iran and the U.S. policy toward Tehran. This thesis, „Izraeli Lobby in the United States and Its Attitude Towards Iran and JCPOA” aims to fill this gap.
The presented thesis aspires to provide the reader with a comprehensive introduction to this topic. It firstly defines the term „Israel Lobby” and briefly outlines the historical developments that shaped the Israel Lobby in the United States, as well as its structure and functioning which will provide broader context to the analysis.
In the second part, the thesis analyzes Israel's policy towards Iran which is reflected in the lobby groups' agenda, and examines the U.S. policy towards Iran and the JCPOA during the administrations of President Barack Obama and Donald Trump. In the next part, the thesis focuses on the lobby groups themselves. It analyzes their attitudes towards Iran, which the groups are trying to promote in the U.S. foreign policy, and separately analyzes the JCPOA nuclear agreement which has caused a great dispute among the various lobby groups. In the last part of the thesis, the author examines the extent to which the policies of the United States and the lobby groups towards Iran and the nuclear deal overlap, and how successful the Israeli lobby has been in advancing its goals.
