Zásady pro vypracování
This master thesis has two primary goals: Extend and debug the features of the IP routing (packet forwarding) within the networking stack of HelenOS microkernel multiserver operating system and port the BIRD routing daemon to HelenOS. The text of the thesis contains a detailed analysis of the IP routing requirements and describes the implementation that allows a reasonable functionality of the BIRD routing daemon (some rarely used features are left out from the implementation). The routing implementation respects the microkernel multiserver architecture of HelenOS.

The port of the BIRD routing daemon to HelenOS supports its major features except those that are not feasible due to current fundamental non-networking limitations of HelenOS.
