Zásady pro vypracování

Diplomová práce „Labour Party v období vlády Margaret Thatcherové (1979-1990)“ bude analýzou fungování této strany za vlády premiérky Margaret Thatcherové a její Konzervativní strany. Půjde tedy o analýzu období, kdy se éra sociálního státu (Welfare State) a politika tzv. konsenzu vzhledem k hospodářským problémům a reforem konzervativců nezadržitelně chýlila ke konci a kdy se Labour Party musela zamýšlet nad svojí budoucností a programovou vizí. Tato nezbytná procedura byla završena v roce 1994, kdy v čele strany stanul nový předseda Tony Blair, který posunul její politiku směrem k centrismu (třetí cesta), čímž vznikl nový směr v rámci strany, tzv. New Labour. Práce bude vycházet ze studia nevydaných, ale především vydaných pramenů britské provenience (The National Archives, London-Kew) a z rozsáhlé anglicky psané odborné literatury.
