Zásady pro vypracování

Bakalářská práce se bude zabývat konkurencí vyjadřovacích prostředků původem staroseverských a domácích v období pozdní staré angličtiny a rané střední angličtiny.
Metodologicky bude práce založena korpusově (Old English Dictionary Corpus, The York-Toronto-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Old English Prose a Penn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Middle English), přičemž zkoumané vyjadřovací prostředky budou shromážděny ze sekundární literatury s přihlédnutím ke kritériím četnosti, formální distinktivnosti atp.
V kvantitativní části práce bude práce zkoumat přibývání výpůjček skandinávského původu na úkor domácích prostředků, v části kvalitativní bude konkurenci vyjadřovacích prostředků popisovat z hledisek sémantiky, nářečí, žánru atp.
