The goal of the thesis will be to characterize specifics of parasite population dynamic in contrast to free-living organisms. It will especialy summarize unique features of genetic structure in parasitic animals. Based on current literature it should describe character of microevolutionary processes in different species (according to phylogeny and different life cycles). Fundamental part will be description of molecular-genetic methods usefull for population structure studies and their limitations and difficulties when studiing parasitic animals. Results of this rewiew will be used as a theoretic base in further populationary genetic studies of twisted winged parasites (Strepsiptera).
