Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou ochrany ozonové vrstvy z pohledu práva. Ozonová vrstva je součástí plynného obalu Země a je důležitá pro další existenci života na ní. Z důvodu lidské činnosti dochází k jejímu narušování a vzniku ozonových děr na severním a jižním pólu Země. Právní úprava spočívá zejména v postupném regulování výroby a používání látek, které tuto vrstvu poškozují, s ohledem na možnosti rozvojových zemí. Práce popisuje mechanismus těchto regulací na mezinárodní, evropské a české úrovni a hodnotí jej. Zmiňuje i souvislost mezi ochranou ozonové vrstvy a ochranou klimatického systému Země.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the protection of the ozone layer from the perspective of law. Ozone layer is part of the layer of gases surrounding the planet Earth and its importance lies in protection of life on Earth. Human activities cause ozone depletion and formation of ozone holes on the North- and South-Pole of the Earth. The legal regulation includes in particular the control measures for gradually phase-out the production and consumption of ozone depleting substances, with regard to the possibilities of developing countries. This thesis describes the mechanism of these regulations on international, European and Czech level and evaluates them. There is the link between protection of the ozone layer and the protection of Earth's climate system in the conclusion mentioned of this diploma thesis.
