Zásady pro vypracování

Práce si klade za cíl vyčlenit hlavní tematické okruhy v dílech J. W. Waterhouse, inspirovaných antikou, a porovnat výběr témat a okruhů s díly malířů, z nichž čerpal. V práci budou analyzována specifika, bude sumarizován a zhodnocen jedinečný přínos J. W. Waterhouse pro oživení antických tradic v 19. a na počátku 20. století.

Práca si kladie za cieľ vyčleniť hlavné tematické okruhy v dielach J. W. Waterhousea inšpirovaných antikou a porovnať výber tém a okruhov s dielami maliarov, z ktorých čerpal. V práci budú analyzované špecifiká, sumarizovaný a zhodnotený jedinečný prínos J. W. Watehousea pre oživenie antických tradícií v 19. a na počiatku 20. storočia.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The aim of the thesis is to define the main thematic areas in the work of J. W. Waterhouse inspired by the antique period and to compare the selection of themes and areas with the works of other painters that influenced him. We will analyse the peculiarities and also summarise and evaluate the unique contribution of J. W. Waterhouse to revival of the ancient traditions in the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century.
