| Magisterská práce nazvaná „Současný terorismus v Etiopii: původ a motivace“ se zabývá výskytem a motivací ozbrojených protivládních skupin, které ve svém boji používají terorismus jako taktiku boje. V úvodní teoretické části práce vymezuje kritéria, dle kterých je možné určit, zdali ozbrojená skupina terorismum používá. Následně jsou na základě typologie přístupu současného řešení konfliktů stanovena kritéria pro určení motivace takovýchto skupin. V další části se práce zaměřuje na současnou vnitropolitickou situaci v Etiopii a popisuje historii a současnost ozbrojeného odboje proti vládě. Rovněž se zaměřuje na výskyt islamismu v regionu a na ohrožení, které pro Etiopii představuje. Práce rovněž analyzuje etiopskou účast na americké válce proti terorismu a zkoumá, není-li boj proti terorismu využíván pro potlačení domácí opozice. V závěrečné části práce dochází k samotné analýze vybraných ozbrojených skupin a k určení, které terorismus ve svém boji používají a jaká je jejich motivace. |

| The master thesis „Contemporary Terrorism in Ethiopia: its Origins and Motivation“ is analysing the presence and the motivation of armed groups in Ethiopia that use terrorism as a method of combat. First, it sets the theoretical framework to distinguish what groups do really use terrorism, than according to the typology of Contemporary Conflict Resolution it sets criteria to address the motivation of those groups. In its second part, the paper offers the political context for the present situation of the armed struggle inside Ethiopia; it also focuses on the presence of radical Islamism in the region and its threat for Ethiopia. Also, this paper analyses the engagement of Ethiopia in the war on terrorism and its consequences for the opposition in the country. In the final part, the analysis of the armed groups is done and the results are evaluated |
