Zásady pro vypracování |
The aim of the thesis is to explore novel techniques of real-time rendering of realistic fur. The student shall analyze the grass rendering method of Habel et al. 2007 and then suggest and implement modifications to adapt it to fur rendering. The thesis should report all problems encountered and a discussion of possible solutions, along with implementation of some of them.
The student shall also familiarize themselves with existing real-time fur rendering methods and implement one of them for comparison with the custom method. The new method should be evaluated with respect to performance, realism, ease of implementation and applicable scenarios. Due to the exploratory nature of the project, user-friendliness is not a priority for the demonstration program. Instead, the focus should be on demonstration of the various solutions tested and, where possible, interactive modification of parameters should be allowed. The program must be well-documented, including source code comments. |
