Zásady pro vypracování |
The aim of the thesis is to provide practical insights into the role of domain textures in thin ferroelectric films and in determination of their functional properties.
The candidate will be involved in characterization of as-grown or transferred thin ferroelectric layers produced within EU-funded international MSCA Doctoral Network HINA, using such tools as optical microscopy, AFM topography, vertical and lateral PFM imaging. Phenomena related to phase transitions will be investigated by polarized Raman microscopy. Among the expected results will be the estimation of the relative electrooptic coefficients and dielectric characterization in a broad range of temperatures. The candidate will be asked to interpret spectral features and domain texture signatures, to propose domain engineering approaches or to design its own material-property descriptive models with the help of phenomenological theory. Both basic research results and results of interest for the industrial partners in the HINA consorcium are expected. A more detailed theses recommendations will be specified by within the first 4 months of the study. |

The aim of the thesis is to get insight into the role of domain textures in thin ferroelectric films in determination of their functional properties. The candidate will be involved in characterization of as-grown or transferred thin ferroelectric layers produced within EU-funded international MSCA Doctoral Network HINA by such tools as optical microscopy, AFM topography, vertical and lateral PFM imaging, as well as in investigations of phenomena related to phase transitions by polarized Raman microscopy, in estimations of the relative electrooptic coefficients, and performing dielectric measurements in a broad range of temperatures. The candidate will be asked to interpret spectral features and domain texture signatures, to propose domain engineering approaches or to design its own material-property descriptive models with the help of phenomenological theory. |
